The fourth Canadian Dental Student Conference (CDSC) is taking place on January 10-11, 2025, at the Fairmont Hotel in Vancouver, Canada. By attending, Canadian dental students will have the opportunity to expand their dental knowledge with keynote speakers, sessions and workshops, and many networking events.
This bi-annual conference is hosted by the Federation of Canadian Dentistry Student Associations (FCDSA), whose goal is to provide a space for enhanced dental education for students enrolled in all years of dental school. Attendees can enjoy a formal dinner, among other social events, and meet their future colleagues, all while exploring the beautiful city of Vancouver.
The 2023 CDSC was a major success, as a result of the hard work of the student-led team who designed and planned the event. Session events included the business aspect of dentistry, practice management, treatment planning, dental implants, orofacial pain, crown lengthening, extraction tips and much more. Over 400 dental students participated from all 10 dental schools along with over 50 sponsors and speakers. The event gave students the chance to gain invaluable knowledge from their colleagues across our nation.
The FCDSA is the assembly of Canadian dentistry student associations at the 10 accredited dental programs across Canada. FCDSA provides services and organizes activities that are beneficial to its member associations and represents a unified national student voice for Canada’s 2000+ dentistry students. Their mission is to connect dentistry students to foster the sharing of common interests and challenges, advocate as a unified national student voice for the promotion of accessible, optimal dental education and patient care, and provide an avenue to introduce and involve students in organized dentistry.
