Why pediatric dentists have a mythical edge (and how to make it work for you)

Dentistry is the only healthcare profession—or any profession, really—with its own mythical character.

Not pediatricians. Not optometrists. No one else.

The Tooth Fairy is arguably the second biggest childhood myth after Santa Claus, and she belongs entirely to the world of oral care.

Yet for most practices, she lives outside your walls. Parents handle the ritual at home. The magic starts and ends with a coin under the pillow. One night. One moment. Then it’s gone.

And for families, it’s the same story—a beautiful tradition that could do so much more. A missed chance to teach, comfort, and celebrate.

What if that didn’t have to be the case?

Enter Kiki the Tooth Fairy: A character built for families and pediatric dentists

Kiki is the first Tooth Fairy built for today’s world: a fully animated, movie-quality tooth fairy with warmth, humour, and an entire universe built around her.

She’s a Tooth Fairy kids love and parents can trust. And a tool dentists can use to connect more deeply with families while reinforcing good habits in a way that actually feels fun.

Kiki shows up in personalized, story-driven videos created with input from dental professionals to ensure messaging is both engaging and medically sound.

All of our content is built to be safe, educational, and genuinely entertaining. No data stored, no information shared and fully COPPA/PIPEDA compliant.

How it works for families:

Parents visit our platform, enter their child’s name, and choose a themed video like a first lost tooth or a wiggly tooth. In minutes, they get a personalized animated video where Kiki talks directly to their child, says their name, and makes the moment feel real and magical.

We also built the first Tooth Fairy Tracker, an interactive video series that lets kids follow Kiki’s journey in real time. They can watch her fly from her Tooth Fairy Castle, get lost in the pyramids, make pit stops along the way, and finally pick up their tooth. It’s fun, cinematic, and makes losing a tooth so much more fun.

Our strategy is simple: entertainment first. We’re not lecturing kids about brushing. We’re giving them a story and a character they care about. Once they’re engaged, the healthy habits follow naturally.

And it’s working. Parents are asking for more! More videos, more brushing support, more fun. They want screen time that actually helps, not more empty content.

How Kiki can help your practice

We’re also building tools designed specifically for pediatric dentists. The Tooth Fairy has always belonged to you, but she’s lived outside your walls. These tools bring her directly into your practice, into your waiting rooms, your patient relationships, your daily operations. For the first time, you can own the magic.

Pre- and post-visit videos: Personalized messages that ease anxiety before appointments and reinforce your care instructions after.

In-office content: Short, looping animations for waiting rooms and chairside screens that keep kids calm, entertained, and promote healthy oral care habits.

Interactive Tooth Fairy experience: An in-office setup that lets kids “talk” to Kiki in real time, turning wait time into a story families remember and share.

Each piece helps you connect with families beyond the chair and makes every visit feel special.

What we’re building next

We’re expanding Kiki’s universe to make oral care a moment of wonder, not a task to check off.

  • Videos for all big dental milestones.
  • Story-based brushing and flossing reminders
  • Fun explanations of cavities, toothpaste, and dental visits
  • A growing cast of characters in Kiki’s world
  • A gamified brushing app.

The goal is to create a dental universe that feels like its own animated franchise, one that makes kids laugh, learn, and actually look forward to brushing.

Get involved

We’re working with select pediatric practices to test and refine these tools.
